Colorful Dammstrasse
Our idea aims to further develop the already vividly painted Dammstrasse in a colorful and diverse way. We would like to mediate between the city, property owners and artists and thus enable small, and perhaps also larger, artistic collaborations. Based on a large design area (colored red in the picture) of possible facades and areas, we would like to look for 1-3 facades that may be designed by artists in agreement with the owners. For any existing art we would like to get in touch with the original owners and try to preserve it for the future. We already have some ideas for possible spaces, are in contact with various street artists and are open for more collaborators.
If we are unsuccessful in finding cooperative homeowners, we would look for alternative spaces throughout the neighborhood. If this doesn't work either, we will organize events where street artists can paint on the legal spray areas in Wipkingen and both children and adults can let their imagination run wild under professional guidance.
